Born in Long Beach, California 2/3/1910; died 7/5/1987. Case began his career as a journalist for his father's newspaper, but soon quit to play piano on a local radio station. He joined NBC-Radio in San Francisco (1931), moved to NBC-Radio New York (1934), then was a free-lance announcer beginning in 1939.
