Married to John Cecil Lawrence (1928-36); Curtis Thomas (1948-her death). Mother of actress Caroline Thomas. Educated in England and Canada before her 1924 stage debut. British screen debut in Underground (1929). Came to America in 1930. Featured on I'm An American for NBC-Radio (1940- 1942).
