This is a reasonably faithful radio rendering of the first some early chapters of "Don Quixote." It is pretty funny, which to my mind is always the first criterion for evaluating any adaptation of Cervantes' masterpiece, all too often treated with excessive solemnity as a literary classic. Whatever its deeper significance, "Don Quixote" is, first and foremost, a funny book.
