When a cattleman refuses to sell out to an oil baron, he finds an old law is being used against him. + Larry Bledsoe is the owner of the Rafter B ranch homesteaded by his father back in the early 1900’s. It’s not a large spread measured by western standards. Three weeks ago a wildcat oil well 12 miles from the Rafter B south line blew in unexpectedly for 3000 barrels a day. Since then a boomtown has come in to existence and the lease hounds have been as busy as a stump full of ants tying up all the nearby acreage. |
