Pastor, Tony (birth name was Antonio Pestritto) Born in Middletown, Connecticutt 11/2/1907 (some say 10/26/1907); died 10/31/1969 of a heart disease in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Singer and sax player that played with several bands including Artie Shaw's group before forming his own band in 1939. Recording artist on Bluebird and Columbia record labels. In later years he toured the nighclub circuit with his sons, Tony, Jr. and Guy.

Past appeared on many band remotes from the late 1930s to the early 1950s. The Clooney Sisters (Betty and Rosemary) were vocalists with his band during the early 1950s, and were featured on a Lang-Worth syndicated radio program.
