Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 9/2/1914; died 2/21/2003 at his home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Glazer worked with Alan Lomax, the founder of the Library of Congress's Archive of American Folk Song in the 1930s. He learned to play guitar, making his Manhattan debut in 1943. Folk singer and songwriter on radio, that wrote tunes including Melody of Love, Old Soldiers Never Die and Mama Guitar. Host of Tom Glazer's Music Box on ABC beginning in 1945.
