Died San Francisco, California, January 9, 1952 Age 34[?] (tuberculosis) Popular jazz singer who worked until illness prevented her from working and she checked into a long term healthcare facility in Detroit in 1941. In 1946 Jack Webb invited her to sing on his comedy show. Since we only have two episodes of that series we only know of the one show in which she sang. There may have been more. The age problem here was that her driver's license listed her birthdate in 1915 but her family said she was 34. So the San Francisco coroner listed her age as 34 but left the birthdate blank.

Spoiler : Some of the above information is incorrect - she was briefly hospitalized in Detroit due to alcohol dependency in 1941. She was appearing in local clubs the following month and continued to sing in clubs and on the radio throughout the 1940's. The correct birth year is 1915.
