Born in Baraboo, Wisconsin 4/23/1915; died 8/10/1996 at his Princeton, New Jersey home. Fleming was educated at the University's Wisconsin and Chicago. He began his broadcasting career in 1935 when he joined WGN-Chicago, then he joined NBC-Radio in 1941 to become a NBC staff- director in 1942. He served in General MacArthur's headquarters as a radio reporter during WWII.
