Farrell had been living in Cliffside Park, New Jersey before her death. Married to New York police officer Robert V. Reagan (1946-1986 his death). Daughter of vaudeville performers Catherine and Michael, the Singing O'Farrells. Farrell studied under Met contralto Merle Alcock and vocal and opera coach, Eleanor McLellan. Host and dramatic soprano on her own CBS-Radio program titled, Eileen Farrell Presents (1940-1947). Vocalist on radio programs including The American Melody Hour for CBS (1942-1948); The Prudential Family Hour of Stars for CBS during the late 1940s.
