Spoiler : One of the best radio shows emphasizing the psychological make-up of Marshall Dillon and how he in many ways hated the fact that he had to kill so many people. Parley Baer has the chance to hum the old gospel song "Love Lifted Me" in a longer version than done in other episodes. It is a popular gospel hymn oftentimes hummed by Chester in several episodes. This episode also allows a period of time when Marshall Dillon actually quits his job to the delight of Miss Kitty. She would like for him to start selling fish for a living and give up his Government job. There is a scene where they are fishing and enjoying life without Marshall Dillon having to wear a gun, but the time period ends quickly when Chester tells Marshall Dillon of a man who has just killed two innocent people back in Dodge City. Marshall Dillon has to put on Chester's gun in order to go back into town and take care of the situation. You can hear a sad sigh from Miss Kitty when Marshall Dillon puts the gun back on to take care of the situation which needs to be taken care of due to the unnecessary murders. This is a very good episode quite different from most if not all of the others in the series.
