Spoiler : I don't think I listened to this broadcast, born March/42. To young. But my father had left for the Marine Corps. I remember that Gabriel Heatter is a radio announcer that comes to mind during the war years. That and the slogan of Ivory Soap commercials "It Floats."Bitts and pieces crop up every now and then, my dog Skippy, mom going off to work and being minded by grandma. Visits by one of the uncles' home on leave from the Army. How the family brightened up during those times. Then the quiet times when everyone prayed for a safe return. Mr. Heatter was a part of the evening when the grownups would listen and be somewhat comforted by Mr. Heatter. A long time ago, wow!
