|Title||:||lux radio theater (409) heaven can wait|
|Plot||:||+ The Lux Radio Theatre. October 11, 1943. "Heaven Can Wait". Sponsored by: Lux. A well-done romance-through-the-years. A man appears before the Devil, asking for admittance into Hell. The story is complete, but the closing interviews, final commercial and system cue have been deleted. + Don Ameche plays the part of Henry Van Cleve the same part as he did in the screen hit. Heaven Can Wait has no social problems to solve and no message but the all compelling one of good entertainment. It is the story of a man named Henry Van Cleve who has been in hot water most of his life because of his rather enthusiastic interest in the opposite sex. But he’s at last called to account and in a very strange place. When Henry Van Cleve died he realised it was very unlikely that his next stop could be heaven. So with dignity and gentle humility he presented himself at the gates of the place that people had so often told him to go!|
