A card sharp posing as a man of the cloth becomes involved with a small town couple and a prize fight. Bob Burns gets to play his "bazooka" briefly. + The Claxton County Fair is underway somewhere in the middle west. It is Saturday afternoon and the holiday crowd jams the midway gazing in awe at the world's greatest collection of freaks. In a secluded corner of the grounds, another attraction holds forth, a quieter and more intimate form of entertainment. For here is where Haswell, alias the Deacon has set up his temporary stand.|
