Thanks for sending this. I too was a fan of late-night AM radio. I often listened to Jimmy Capps with "Our Best to You" on Clear channel WPTF 680 AM in Raleigh. But Jean Shepherd on WOR was king of storytelling on AM radio. And not far up the radio dial from WPTF. The theater of the mind.

My Dad had this on the radio driving home from NYC after a show to our home on the North Shore. Dark, in the back seat, no lights after the Nassau County line. Magic!
