Lawson, Yank (John Rhea Lausen) Born in Trenton, Missouri; died 2/18/1995 at age 83 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jazz trumpeter that joined Ben Pollack's band in 1933, then was with many other popular bands of the 1940's (including Bob Crosby's) until 1968 when he formed The World's Greatest Jazz Band.
