Born in Montclair, New Jersey 2/19/1901; died 9/26/1989 of a pulmonary embolism in Granite, Oklahoma. Brother of actor Richard Dix. Attended Phillips-Exeter Academy and Yale University, then studied acting at The American Laboratory Theatre Dramatic School. One of six actors to play John Perry on the NBC-Radio soap, John's Other Wife (1936-1942).
