Spoiler : Born in New York City 9/27/1917; died 12/25/2002 of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles, Califronia. Married and divorced to actress Joy Page (1945- 1970). Attended Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire. At age 18, his parents divorced and he moved with his mother and younger sister to Los Angeles, California. Being handsome and athletic, he began modeling while taking acting lessons. First big break came when he appeared in Loulle Parsons' "Meet the People." That play led to a $300 a week contract with Warner Bros. Actor in movies including his first, an un-credited role in Touchdown, Army (1938), and his last, playing Don Bates in He Hired the Boss (1943). Served as an officer during WWII, working in the First Motion Picture Army unit at Hal Roach Studios in Culver City. At end of WWII he married Joy Page, Jack Warner's stepdaughter, and went to work for Warner Bros as an assistant to Jack Warner, then Orr was heavily involved in script supervising and casting at Warner Bros before he became head of television production for the studio.
