Spoiler : Wilbur Hatch Born Mokena, Illinois, May 24, 1902 Died Los Angeles (North Hollywood), California, December 22, 1969 Age 67 Although best remembered for being the conductor of the Desi Arnaz Orchestra on I Love Lucy (as well as serving in some musical capacity for every Desilu TV show, including Star Trek), he actually devoted his life to radio. He arrived at station KNX in Los Angeles in 1930, which was literally his home base through the 1950s. On radio, Bill Hatch is best remembered for composing the theme for The Whistler. But he also composed the themes for Screen Guild, Our Miss Brooks, Luke Slaughter (his last radio drama), and many other shows.
