As Captain Black, commander of the first naval rocketship to land on Mars (April 20, 1987), in Ray Bradbury's extraordinarily memorable MARS IS HEAVEN. First broadcast on 7-7-50 on the Dimension X radio program. Wendell is outstanding as the gruff and by-the-book commanding officer. Perfectly cast. A 30 minute broadcast that will stick with you well after your first listen. ENJOY!!

Alastair Duncan eventually moved to Australia and ended up with the same voice-over agent as me. We did a lot of jobs together in the 1980s and 90s. When I gave him taped copies of A Gun For Dinosaur and some other U.S. radio shows he was unbelievably gracious and thankful. Died a few years ago, a real gentleman.

Man what a talent that left way too soon...Mr Holmes was criminally underrated.Everything that i've ever saw him in or heard him on was just fantastic.I think this cat would have gone on to bigger things down the line had he not passed so early. RIP
