Spoiler : All of the online info about Wayne Howell is from the golden days of TV and radio. In the mid 1970s NBC Radio created a 24 hour radio news programming service. It was called Your News And Information Service, or NIS. It only ran for about three years. Wayne Howell was news reader on the weekends and some fill ins for late night slots. I remember his rich and warm voice. I also recall hearing him as the live announcer on NBC TV. Back in the 70s NBC kept a voice on standby just in case some shit really hit there fan there would be someone there to quickly read an announcement.
