orn ca 1914; died 10/6/1956 in Forest Hills, New York. Brother of radio personality Ed Herlihy. Nephew of comic Fred Allen. Announcer for ABC-Radio programs including Police Woman (1946-1947); Powers Charm School (1946-1947).

Walter Herlihy was my grandfather. He died when my mom was 13. The only recording I've heard of his is an old 78 rpm my mom had of him doing "Twas the Nigh Before Christmas." I'd love to find out if ABC has old recordings of his or photos available.
