Spoiler : Bartlett, Tommy Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin 7/11/1914; died 9/6/1998 of kidney failure in the Madison, Wisconsin Oakwood Village nursing home. Never married. Began his radio career at WISN-Milwaukee in 1927 and shortly afterwards moved to Chicago where he joined CBS-Radio as a staff announcer. Served as an Army Air Corp flight instructor during WWII, and was a pilot for Northwest Airlines for a while following the war. Founded the Ski, Sky and Stage touring show in Chi- cago, Illinois in 1948, and later established a permanent home for the act in the Wisconsin Dells. Considered one of the founders of Wisconsin's tourist industry. Served as the executive director for the Wisconsin Dells Visitor and Convention Bureau (1985-1995). Announcer for CBS-Radio programs including News And Rhythm (1939) and Carl Hohengarten's Orchestra (1939). Creator and host of Welcome Traveler on CBS-Radio (1940-1941), NBC-Radio (1941-1942), ABC-Radio (1947-1954), and CBS-TV and NBC-TV (1952-1954). Host of Meet the Missus on WGN-Chicago radio (?-?). Quit broadcasting in the early 60's, but was the announcer for the Calgary Stampede in Alberta, Canada (1966-1992) and the Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988.
