Spoiler : Born in New York City 4/15/1907; died 9/22/1970 of a heart attack. He began on radio reading the Bible, then was a sports commentator. While attending St. John's Law School, he began a radio discussion program called, "Law For The Layman." Later he changed the theme of the program from law to problems of the day. His radio career never interfered with his law career, as was the Assistant District Attorney for New York County, once served as General Counsel for the United States Housing Authority.

Spoiler : Founder and moderator for The American Forum Of The Air on the Mutual and NBC Radio Networks (1934-1953). American Forum Of The Air was telecast live on NBC-TV, usually originating from Washington, D.C. (1949-1953). In 1951 Granik was the creator and moderator of The American Youth Forum which was retitled to Youth Wants To Know from 1952 until 1953 when illness forced him to quit. At the time of his death Granik owned WGSP-TV in the Nation's Capitol, and was planning to go back on the air with another Forum type show when the station went on the air. Later the TV station became WCQR, telecasting on channel 50.
