Spoiler : Ted Meyers (Edward Theodore Meyers) Born Los Angeles, California, December 31, 1913 Died Los Angeles, California, November 25, 1996 Age 82 (lung cancer) Ted was an announcer. He went to work at KFAC in 1934 as a general announcer. Ted could be heard on Tarzan, Calling All Cars (as a sub for Dr. Lindsley), Stop or Go, Screen Guild, Bullock's Show, and Suspense. When KFI started a TV station, he was the main announcer. That station became KHJ-TV in the early 1950s. Ted stayed in that role until his retirement in the early 1990s.
