O'Sullivan was discovered by director Frank Borzage at the Dublin International Horse Show in 1930, following her being discovered, she signed a screen contract and moved to Hollywood. Screen debut in Song Of My Heart (1931), mostly remembered for her role as Jane in the Tarzan movie series (1932-1942). Following her last role in the Tarzan series, she retired from acting to raise her family. Returned to movies in 1948 with The Big Clock. Last movie was Hannah And Her Sisters (1986). Guest star on radio programs including The Dreft Star Playhouse for NBC (1943-45); Family Theatre for Mutual (1947-1956) The Lux Radio Theatre. Host of the syndicated television series, Irish Heritage during the 1950's. Regular on The Today Show for NBC-TV (1964).
