Spoiler : Longstreet, Stephen (birth name was Chauncey Weiner) Born in New York City 4/18/1907; died 2/20/2002 of pneumonia and congestive heart failure at Century City Hospital in Century City, California. Married to Ethel Joan Godoff (1935-1999 her death). Longstreet traveled to Paris, France in the late 1920s where he met such artists as Picasso and Matisse. Longstreet originally was an artist, turning to writing during the Depression. Longstreet wrote many novels, and was a Jazz artist after the African-American singer-actor Paul Robeson introduced him to Jazz. Credited with writing for radio during the 1930s and 40s, but I have no data on this. Writer for tele- vision including episodes of Playhouse 90 on CBS (1956-1960).
