Born in Nagykanizsa, Austria (now Hungary) 7/29/1887; died 11/9/1951 of a cerebral hemorrhage in New York City while preparing for a concert tour. He grew up in Hungary and Austria, later attended college at The University of Bucharest, then served in the Austria Army. After that he moved to America.
