Rogers, Shorty (birth name was Milton Rajonsky) Born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts 4/14/1924; died 11/7/1994 in Van Nuys, California. Jazz trumpeter with the Woody Herman band (1945-1949), Stan Kenton (1949-1951), then formed his Giants band that recorded albums including Cool and Crazy and Martians Go Home.
