Born in Grange, Mississippi 1/20/1895; died 3/1/1962 of lung cancer in Hollywood, California. Married to actress Barbara Ray (?-1955 her death). On stage (1915), and screen with South Sea Rose in 1929. Last movie was The Ladies' Man (1961). In Eddie Dean's western movies, he was the sidekick "Soapy." Deputy Roscoe on the western show, The Marshal Of Gunsight Pass for ABC-TV (1950).
