Born in Newark, New Jersey 2/20/1907; died 12/11/1966 in New York City. He was a member of many New York bands, and with the Paramont Theater Orchestra. He toured with Sophie Tucker in vaudeville, managed the Harris Barris and Buddy Rogers bands, was a member and booking agent for Rudy Vallee's orchestra. He formed his own band in 1932 that performed at hotels, clubs and on radio. He composed several tunes, including "It Isn't Fair," which became his theme song.
