Host and originator of The Richard Harkness Show (Story Of The Week) on NBC-TV (1948-1949). He retired from broadcasting in 1972, but served for President Ford's drug abuse program.

Born in Artesian, South Dakota 9/29/1907; died 2/16/1977 in Washington, D.C. Married to Gladys Suiter (?-?). United Press reporter that distinguished him- self by exposing the Pendergast machine. As a reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer covered the White House, and during the 1940 Presidential campaign toured with Willkie and Roosevelt. NBC-Radio political analyst and Washington correspondent (1943-1953).
