Dix, Richard (Ernest Carlton Brimmer) Born in St. Paul, Minnesota 7/10/1893; died 9/20/1949 from complications of a heart disease in Los Angeles, California. Father of actor Robert Dix. Medical student that turned to acting. Screen debut in Not Guilty (1921). Nominated for an Academy Award for Cimarron (1931). Last movie was Fountainhead (1949). Guest star on many radio programs including The Eveready Hour for NBC during the 1930's.
