Born in Montreal, Canada 3/25/1913 (Social Security records state he was born 3/21/1913, and died 6/29/1994). Educated at Exeter, Phillips and Worcester Academies. In the 1940s, this newscaster began a long career at station WOR-New York, and the Mutual Radio Network. During the 1947 to 1948 season, he was the commentator on Eight O'Clock Morning News that was sponsored by Peter Paul Candy.
