Spoiler : I am the granddaughter of Phil Clarke, he after radio also did some soaps and court type shows on the new arena of television. He knew Hedda Hopper and Also numerous others. He toured with in his younger days a prestigious British troupe of actors. He never achieved the knack of tv. My great Aunt Vivian Clarke played in the Man Who Came to Dinner. He remarried late in years to Fran and had three daughters, Barbara, Beverly and Phyllis. Who are now all deceased. He was known for his stiff British accent and for entrust Baldwin Home on Long Island. He moved to California to try to attain his acting dream, and took full time work as a security guard in these hopes. His acting desires did not cease and oft times would offer his mentoring to young actors. He eventually stopped after moving to Alabama, where he passed away.
