Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Began his career as a disc-jockey at radio stations in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Creator of the CBS-Radio quiz show, "Rate Your Mate" in 1950. Creator of television quiz shows I'll Buy That and The Names The Same on ABC (1951-1955).
