Castle, Peggy (aka Peggie Castle) Born in Appalachia, Virginia 12/22/1927; died 8/11/1973 from cirrhosis of the liver and heart problems in Los Angeles, California. Married and divorced to director Robert Rains (?-?); assistant director Bill McGarry (?-?). Castle began taking drama lessons at age eight. Screen debut in Mr. Belvedere Goes To College (1950). Lily Merrill on The Lawman for ABC-TV (1959-1962).

Peggy castle was one of the prettiest women on TV. It’s a shame that she had such a painful death. I would have like to have seen her in person.
