Scored many movies and won an Academy Award for The Great Gatsby in 1975. Staff arranger at NBC-Radio in Hollywood (1947- 1950). Composer-arranger of music for The Sears Radio Theater on CBS-Radio (1979-1980), which was rebroadcast on Mutual-Radio (1980-1981) as The Mutual Radio Theater.
