Born in Springfield, Illinois 3/13/1873; died 8/12/1958. She was a newspaper reporter and columnist, and an author, press agent and interviewer.

She joined the staff of NBC in 1930, and provided commentary and interviews on NBC RED and BLUE. From 1934 to 1943, she was a host and commentator on NBC radio programs including Neighbor Nell; Meet The Songwriters; Strolling Songsters (humorous interviews). She retired from radio in 1947.
