Born in Los Angeles, California 3/5/1924. Screen debut with an uncredited role of a Ziegfeld Girl in the 1941 movie, Ziegfeld Girl. Last movie was playing a cashier in Buddy Buddy (1981). It has been claimed that Dell and actress Marquerite Chapman originated the idea of autograph shows.
