Born in New York 1/27/1916; died 11/30/1980 in Santa Monica, California. Married to Edith Nicholson (?-?); Jane Poirson (?-?). He began his radio career at NBC in 1939. He was a WWII correspondent that covered the London blitz, liberation of Paris and the Japanese surrender in the Pacific.
