Born in New York City 3/21/1903; died 12/21/1947 of a heart attack in Hollywood, California. Married to actress Alice Glad (?-?). Columnist with the Chicago Tribune and the New York Daily News (1923-1929). With the King Features Syndicate and New York Daily Mirror (1930-1940). The 1948 movie, "Naked City" and the ABC-TV series Naked City (1958-1963) were both based on this writer's novel.
