Born in London, England 5/31/1897: died 6/30/1986 in New York City. Daughter of Frank Gillmore (the founder of Actors Equity). Married to Robert Ross (?-1954 his death). Stage debut in The Scrap of Paper (1917). Screen debut with an uncredited role in The Home Girl (1928), then played Louisa Daniels in Wayward (1932). Last movie was playing Sister Barbara in The Trouble with Angels (1966). Gillmore published her autobiography, Four Flights Up in 1964.
