African-American comic in circuses, carnivals and vaudeville before his 1936 uncredited movie debut in Green Pastures. Played the Birmingham Brown the chauffeur for all of the Charlie Chan movies (1944-1949). Moreland was know  for his popeyed expression when scared and statement of, "Feets, do your stuff"). Last movie was Watermellon Man (1970). Regular performer on The Bob Burns Show for NBC-Radio during the middle 1940's.
