Born in the Bronx, New York 9/13/1908; died 1/4/1998 following a long illness at her Manhattan, New York home. At age seventeen Questel won a local Bronx contest to find someone resembling Helen Kane, the "boop-oop-a-doop- girl." Following the contest, Max Fletcher hired Questel to provide the voice of Betty Boop in over 150 Betty Boop cartoons (1931-1939). Voice of Olive Oyl in 454 Popeye cartoons (1933-1967); voice of Little Lulu (1937-1947); Little Audrey (1947- 1953).

She provided her voice for the character of Sweetpea on Popeye The Sailor for NBC-Radio (1935-1936). Provided her voice for the characters of Timmy and Mae on Tom, Timmy And Mae for NBC-Radio (1949).
