Spoiler : he Great LEE. Marvin one of my favourite actors. Made some great movies as the Star and in many as supporting cast even as villain early on he was always memorable,a true great.

Spoiler : I always remembered hearing Lee Marvin and his wife in several radio dramas in the 1950s. Is this a false memory? His voice was so distinctive.

Spoiler : Born in New York City 2/19/1924; died 8/29/1987 of a heart attack in Tuscon, Arizona. Married and divorced Betty Edeling (1952-?); Pamela Feeley (1970-?). Marvin came from a well-to-do family. After being expelled from several prep schools, Marvin joined the Marine Corp. He served in the Pacific as a scout sniper during WWII, was shot causing a spinal injury in 1944, winning a Purple Heart. He spent thirteen months in a hospital healing, then received a $40.00 month lifetime disability. Enrolled at the American Theatre Wing and worked as a plumber's assistant to support himself. Professional acting debut in the off Broadway play Roadside. Then on Broadway in Billy Budd. Screen debut in You're In The Navy Now (1951). Academy Award for Cat Ballou (1965). Last movie was Delta Force (1986).

Co-star with Arthur Kennedy in People Need People, the first telecast of Alcoa Premiere for ABC-TV (1961). Narrator for the syndicated television series, The Lawbreakers (1963).
