Born in San Francisco, California 7/16/1880; died 1/18/1966. Married to writer Charles Gilman Norris (?-1945 his death). At age 19 became a Society editor. Prolific author's first novel, "Mother" was written in six weeks (1911). Writer of 78 novels during her long career including The Venables (1941); Family Gathering (1959).
