Born in San Francisco, California 9/13/1880; died 1/13/1958 of a heart attack in Beverly Hills, California. Lasky began his career as a reporter, later became a band leader and producer of New York vaudeville acts. Established one of the first movie studios in 1913, had his first hit movie with Squaw Man in 1914. Creator/producer/host of the Gateway To Hollywood on CBS-Radio
