Married and divorced to professional water-skier Shirley Sibre (?-?); Vicki Flaxman (1955-1958?). Raised in Tacoma, Washington. Served in the U.S. Navy (1943-1946). Following the war, became a baseball player, but a ligament injury ended his career. Moved to Hollywood and looked up Paramount Pictures talent agent Milton Lewis, whom he had met during the war. Following a screen test, he made his movie debut in Johnny Belinda (1948). Jefferson Drum on the NBC-TV series (1958-1959).
