Born in Paris, France 2/19/1903; died 1/20/1963 in New York City. Fray and Braggiotti met while they were studying music in Paris, then formed their piano team. Composer George Gershwin and comedian Fred Allen suggested they bring their act to America, which they did in 1930. The team of Fray And Braggiotti performed on American radio starions from 1931 to 1938. Their Fray and Braggiotti program was broadcast by CBS and NBC-BLUE from 1931 to 1938.

Fray had his own WEAF-New York program in 1935, that featured vocalist Olga Vernon, then in 1947 Fray became a disk-jockey at radio station WQXR-New York spinning classical records until his death. Following Fray's death, his old partner Braggiotti, took over the program briefly. Host of The Jacques Fray Music Room on ABC-TV (1949).
