Spoiler : Gleason, Jackie (birth name was John Clarence Gleason) Born in Brooklyn, New York 2/26/1916; died 6/24/1987 from cancer of the liver and colon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Married Genevieve Halford in 1936. They separated in 1951, but being devout Catholics they didn't divorce until 1970; married and divorced to Beverly McKittrick (1970-1974); Marilyn Taylor, sister and member of the June Taylor Dancers (1975-1987 his death).

Spoiler : Gleason won an amateur contest at age 15 and was signed to host a show at Brooklyn, New York's Halsey Theatre for three dollars a night. He became a performer in night clubs, then signed two-year movie contract with Warner Bros in 1940, making his screen debut in Navy Blues (1941).
